Wieland is hiring a Finish Saw Operator. The Finish Saw Operator prepares and utilizes the application of the Saw Machine to cut tubing to required size listed on specifications. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA. Starting Pay: 19.20/hr during 60-90 day training period. Schedule: 2nd shift, 3p-11p, after training on 1st shift, 7a-3p Pay Schedule: Weekly
Responsibilities
Finish Saw Operator Responsibilities: Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required. Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes. Produces material within prescribed tolerances with focus on the "next customer" in a timely manner. Performs set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets) getting tools and gages for making proper machine adjustments. Processes cut to length samples, and measures to check cut length and squareness of cut. Proportionately fills machine(s) with lube of proper mix, checks for burrs and replaces blades as necessary. Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work environment. Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form. Able to work overtime as business needs require. Cleans and returns removed tools. Attends meetings as required. Cross-trains in other areas as needed. Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's. Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices. Finish Saw Operator Qualifications: Lifting Pulling Pushing Standing
