We are hiring for a Manager Frames Merchandising to join our growing team!

The role is responsible, along with the Senior Director of Frames Merchandising, for the management, merchandising and promotion of all Frame initiatives

What Would You Do? The Specifics.

  • Manages all aspects of Frames Merchandising.

  • Supervises and backs up the 2 Assistant Frame Merchants. Trains new associates when required.

  • Develops and analyses reporting in Data Warehouse/Business Objects to include monthly, weekly, and ad hoc reports as required.

  • Manages the selection and launch of the safety frame program.

  • Works closely with Operations, Finance, Distribution Center/Labs, other departments and outside vendors to identify and problem solve any issues as they arise.

  • Assists the Senior Director of Frames Merchandising in the selection and procurement of new products based on sales analysis and trends.

  • Manages all aspects of new project launches and changes to product availability.

  • Oversees all updates to price, cost and inventory information in the company’s supply chain and merchandising system (JDA), Oversees the Point of Sale system (SDS) and websites for Frames.

  • Manages and maintains all store planograms.

  • Communicates changes regarding new products, price changes and discontinued items to the field operations team via SAP (Sales Action Planner), written memos, email and online posts.

  • Works closely with IT to implement upgrades to smooth workflow and increase efficiencies.

  • Develops and maintains training documents for current processes and procedures.

Work Experience

  • 6+ years Experience in merchandising/buying ((Required))

Management Experience

  • Some Supervisory experience (Required)

Education

  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. (Required)

    Additional Skills

  • Experience in customer service, vendor Management and data analysis and interpretation. (Required)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint (Required)

  • Experience with Supply Chain and Merchandising systems required, JDA system preferred. (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of report writing systems required, Business Objects preferred. (Preferred)

  • Optical and/or Retail Industry experience preferred. (Preferred)

  • Strong verbal/written communication abilities; effective interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail. (Required)

  • Keeps abreast of business, industry and market information that may reveal business opportunities. (Required)

  • Excellent critical thinking skills; using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. (Required)

  • Highly organized with strong follow up skills and the ability to multi-task. (Required)

  • Strong leader with the ability to interact with and influence others effectively. (Required)
