Job Description:
L3harris is seeking a software engineer to lead design and development efforts for a wide range of special communication and software defined radio systems/devices.
Essential Functions:
Lead/participate in the software development efforts on various applications for special communication and software-defined radio systems/devices
Networking knowledge: wireless, satcom, layer-2 protocols, routing
Design and develop software utilizing C/C++, Python, POSIX multi-tasking. Web application, AI/ML a plus
Experience with Linux and RTOS.
Perform C++ Unit test experience.
Utilize Devops experience.
Work closely with System and test engineers throughout the software design/development life cycle
Document software design and participate in design and code reviews
Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends
Perform software/hardware integration during software development and unit testing
Use strong problem solving and software debugging skills
Multitask across multiple projects/initiatives
Familiar with configuration management processes and tools
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 6-9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
6-9 years of professional C++ language software development experience.
Experience with satellite communications.
Software debugging skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with reverse engineering.
Experience with UML documentation (sequence diagrams).
In compliance with the equal pay act, the salary range for this role in $129,500.00 - $240,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
