Stantec Senior CAD/BIM Technician - Water Sector in Dublin, Ireland

Stantec are seeking to recruit an experienced CAD / Senior CAD and BIM Technician to join a team in our Water sector teams in Dublin or Belfast office. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy.

As a CAD Technician you will be self-motivated and responsible for supporting the Digital Delivery team across the UK and Ireland. Working under a Regional Disciple Lead (RDL), you will provide technical design support to our Engineering team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Duties will include:

  • Collaborating with engineers from multi disciplines.

  • Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.

  • Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.

  • Working within the Common Data Environments for your CAD data with ISO19650 compliance.

About you

Ideally you will have a minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent subjects and have experience of working on water engineering projects. In addition, you will also have:

  • Experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise

  • Used Civil 3D for earthworks and pipeline profiles.

  • Used Revit for creating, amending structures and plant.

  • Ability to organise your workload across multiple projects

  • Ability to mentor junior staff supporting your region
