Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for leading an advertising sales business and managing a team of Account Directors and Client Solutions Managers. Their key responsibilities include building and cultivating strong relationships with multiple clients, unlocking incremental revenue opportunities, providing campaign strategy consultation, delivering campaign intelligence and helping the client prove the ROI of their investments.

Demonstrate client centricity and sales operational excellence

  • Build and nurture strong client and agency executive relationships, and unlock commercial impact through these relationships.

  • Gain a deep understanding of your key clients/verticals and demonstrate a client-first mindset in everything you do.

  • Demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate LinkedIn’s advertising solutions and the value they deliver to our clients.

  • Establish close internal stakeholder relationships with x-functional teams like Marketing, Go to Market Operations, Insights, Content Solutions and Technical Solutions, to influence and support their work.

  • Demonstrate deep expertise of the digital marketing ecosystem, the ad tech landscape as well as key client verticals (e.g. SaaS, Infrastructure & Connectivity, Professional Services).

  • Provide regular verbal and written leadership updates related to business performance, customer/vertical trends and progress against priorities.

Build, plan and communicate an inspiring strategy

  • Develop and implement an effective commercial strategy for your business, whilst maximizing the use of available resources. Ensure close alignment between your team’s priorities and the regional strategic direction.

  • Oversee execution of day-to-day plans by understanding, coordinating and communicating how your team’s plans contribute to long-term strategic priorities and overall business success.

  • Communicate in a way that meets the needs and expectations of diverse teams by adapting communication style and encouraging open communication on your team.

  • Generate a sense of purpose and energy by ensuring your team members understand their contributions are valued and make a positive difference to LinkedIn’s strategy and vision.

Deliver results that redefine the potential of the business

  • Hold yourself and your team members accountable for achieving business results by setting clear expectations, monitoring progress and taking responsibility for performance outcomes across your team.

  • Effectively execute and deliver against commercial initiatives on local and regional level. Implement and track Key Performance Indicators to maximize customer value and revenue growth.

  • Manage change and support your teams in overcoming ambiguity, navigating roadblocks and generating effective solutions.

  • Support leadership to implement new growth opportunities by providing guidance, feedback, and recommendations based on insights from your team/clients/verticals.

*Basic Qualifications: *

  • 5+ years sales experience within Marketing & Advertising, Technology, or similar fast-paced industries

  • 1+ years experience of building and leading sales teams. Proven ability to influence, develop and empower colleagues and team members to achieve shared goals.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written

*Preferred Qualifications: *

  • Fluency in German, both verbal and written

  • Significant commercial business and team leadership experience (3+ years)

  • Proven track record of overachievement against ambitious revenue and growth goals.

  • Deep experience in building & nurturing agency and client executive relationships.

  • Strong background in digital media sales and/or understanding of the digital marketing/agency/ad tech ecosystems.

  • Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) business models and/or marketing strategies.

  • Experience in building diverse high performing teams and fostering a strong sense of inclusion and belonging.
