We are looking for a Quality Training Manager to provides leadership and training expertise for Grifols business unit leaders to develop, direct, and deploy an organizational training strategy, curriculum, and methodology designed to achieve regulatory and performance excellence. Designs, develops, and controls training in accordance with applicable Grifols regulations related to Quality, Safety, Human Resources, Environment. Aiming to ensure that the workforce has the necessary knowledge to achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the companies/divisions served in the short and medium term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizational Training Strategy:

  • Develop, direct, and deploy organizational technical initiatives to align with business, compliance, and productivity needs.

  • Design, develop, and control training plans according to the needs detected within the company.

  • Supervise and control training requirements for Grifols personnel and external staff affecting quality or legal compliance.

  • Design training content, methodology, and materials.

  • Validate training content with area leaders to ensure alignment with needs and regulations.

  • Standardize and assign courses as per corporate procedures.

  • Plan, organize, and control internal and external training actions following corporate procedures.

  • Contribute to and control the Training Management System in line with corporate, HR, Quality Systems, Safety, Environmental, and legal policies.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage, lead, and develop a team of training specialists to provide technical training systems, programs, tools, and consultation.

  • Serve as a mentor to departmental technical trainers/designates.

  • Coordinate human and material resources within the training unit.

  • Advise and train business managers on corporate training processes and the use of global management tools.

Consultation and Collaboration:

  • Consult and influence Grifols Senior Management to build a learning culture and implement progressive training solutions.

  • Collaborate with Quality Operations Management to meet regulatory training commitments.

  • Consult with other company divisions about best practices.

  • Represent the company at biotechnology committees and consortiums.

Grifols Training Platform (GTP):

  • Manage and administer a centralized GTP.

  • Evaluate and ensure the efficiency and utilization of the GTP platforms (SAP, GTP, BI, DCM) .

Training Annual Plan:

  • Design, develop, deliver, assess needs, and evaluate special technical training programs as requested.

  • Develop and implement qualification and certification programs internally or via vendors/consultants.

  • Develop and design training modules according to Instructional Design models.

  • Conduct training during facility Turnaround activities.

  • Apply state-of-the-art adult learning techniques and benchmark best practices.

  • Continually propose and update the training course catalogue relevant to the business.

  • Evaluate the achievement of objectives in training activities.

Performance Metrics and Improvement:

  • Develop and implement technical training performance metrics systems.

  • Track and trend technical training effectiveness and performance improvement.

  • Deliver results to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Proactively review and incorporate new informational technologies and training methods.

  • Study, propose, and evaluate new training materials and tools (e.g., Virtual Reality).

Communication and Reporting:

  • Provide ongoing communication to the site regarding technical training.

  • Prepare training reports and report deviations to responsible parties, quality committees, and management.

  • Participate in internal and external audits/inspections and prepare requested reports.

  • Inform HRB, RLT, and management about the state of training.

External Funding and Grants:

  • Write grants for training funding.

  • Know the requirements for subsidies and select qualifying actions.

  • Ensure compliance with requirements for subsidized training.

Coordination and Integration:

  • Coordinate with Corporate Training Manager and other business training areas to proactively obtain existing systems, programs, and tools.

  • Inform Corporate Training and other business training areas of training actions that may be of interest to find synergies.

  • Manage the implementation of IT applications for training in coordination with Corporate Training.

  • Validate changes and improvements made in SAP or other Training Management tools.

  • Ensure good functioning of training applications and propose improvements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Demonstrated ability to direct, develop and implement innovative training methodologies, management systems and learning processes with outstanding facilitation and platform delivery skills

  • Possess expertise in developing, implementing and measuring training effectiveness; curriculum development and delivery, and in implementing training systems to build and show evidence of employee qualification desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply a broad business perspective and innovation in translating regulatory requirements into cost effective training solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage an appropriate balance between building long term training strategies vs. the day to day tactics of the department

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with, challenge and influence Senior Management

  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple areas, develop and manage effective partnerships and teams to deliver performance improvement results

  • Deostrated ability to be a self starter

  • Demonstrated ability to suspend judgment, through strong questioning and active listening skills

  • Demonstrated ability to apply creativity to training and business solutions

  • Six years of experience in the training field with at least three years of strategy and design implementation or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • In addition, background must include at least 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment.

  • Qualifications

  • A BA/Hon degree in relevant field, i.e. Adult Education, Training and Development, Organizational Development, etc. along with the experience referenced below. An equivalent combination of education (BA/BS degree or higher) and experience may be considered

  • Demonstrated Computer Proficiency in MS Office Applications, graphics programs, audio visual equipment and Learning Management Systems.
