Working in a project based environment you will need a relevant honours degree as well as drive, enthusiasm and the ability to work on your own initiative. The role will involve a mixture of office and site based responsibilities. Although post qualification experience is not vital we are looking to attract people who can show experiences of teamwork and initiative. As a project based organisation, the ability to be flexible about location will be of benefit.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to work within the Digital Solutions Group of the Life Sciences market in Jacobs Ireland and work with discipline leads within the engineering department to identify inefficiencies and transform our approach to design development.

The Digital Solutions graduate will work with the digital solutions group to get an understanding of the engineering department needs and opportunities within specific projects and the wider department. They shall support the digital solutions group to address these needs and opportunities using an agile method and shall work with the engineering department to ensure solutions are accurately translated and implemented in a sprint approach.

What you’ll be doing:

Communication & Reporting

  • Report directly to the Digital Solutions Group.

  • Shall indirectly support project teams.

  • Communicate and work with our Engineering department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research into new technology to support initiatives in Digital Roadmap.

  • Support digital solutions group in developing solutions, running pilots on projects.

  • Support the scale up of digital solutions on projects.

  • May be required to be site based.

Other Responsibilities

  • Ability to work on digital initiatives taking a Sprint approach.

  • Support the running of the LS Ireland Digital Competition.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • An associated qualification in BIM, Information Management or Digital courses.

  • Passionate about innovation, looking at ways to improve efficiency in the business.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience in Autodesk based design authoring applications such as Revit, Plant 3D & AutoCAD.

  • Experience in Sprint/Scrum Iterative development approaches.

  • Experience in Microsoft applications such as Power BI, Power Apps, Planner, Forms etc.

  • Programming capabilities in Python, C#, Dynamo.

  • Data analytical experience, collating, validating and visualising data.
