AON Data Analytics Products Manager in Dublin, Ireland

Data Analytics Products Manager

Would you be interested in being at the centre of exciting pivotal initiatives whilst working in a global hub? Would you like the opportunity to work in a cross functional team? If so, this may be the role for you!

The Data Analytics Products Manager is a Dublin based role, on a team that operates a hybrid working environment, offering a huge amount of flexibility to work from home.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

About ACIA

The Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA), delivers compelling data-driven insights through its team of experts in Dublin, Singapore and Krakow, collaborating across Aon globally. Established in 2008, the team operates as part of the global Business Services unit continually driving new capabilities and solutions by creating innovative ways to do business, leveraging emerging technologies and expertise to help clients make better informed decisions today and tomorrow.

We are looking for a Data Analytics Products Manager to join our ACIA Dublin Centre and help lead our core products.

What the day will look like

As a Data Analytics Products Manager you will play a central role in the ACIA, gathering valuable information from various collaborators and customers.

You will lead all aspects of product development and management across the portfolio of data and analytics product suite. You will build and own the product roadmap, defining product changes, as well as process and user journey enhancements. Alongside the day-to-day product management, you will run product related assets and supporting processes covering both acquisition and base management activity. You will also need to quickly identify, assess and prioritise various product-related opportunities to drive value.

Forward thinking, effective planning and initiative execution is essential. Significant analysis, business case development, requirements drafting, and effective change and stakeholder management are also key to being successful in this role.

  • Collaborate with business partners to refine strategic roadmap and product backlog

  • Deliver projects and features on the product roadmap from conception through requirements gathering to development and post launch

  • Connect with key business stakeholders and relevant areas of the business about project status, technical capabilities, issues, and enhancements

  • Lead delivery teams and act as Product Owner in the delivery of product backlogs and product releases

  • Support the active development of the Product Management function throughout the business through the introduction of new agile techniques and approaches to product backlog management and delivery

  • Promote data literacy and guide a modern culture of data in an environment of experimentation and innovation where everyone can and does use data to make decisions – “data as an asset”

  • Drive the strategic alignment of data and product needs across the organization, supported by strong data governance and development of trust in the data.

    How this opportunity is different

Working with senior executive stakeholders presents opportunities to collaborate on critical initiatives of high importance. This opportunity will provide exposure to all aspects of the data, analytical and product lifecycle.

Working in an agile environment, the Product & Analytics Manager will be supported by a cross functional team to build web applications to provide analytics to colleagues, clients, and carriers. This is an opportunity for one to be proactive in leading programmes of work whilst reporting and working closely with the Head of Data Acquisition and Governance.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Ideally 5+ years working in a Product Management role or deep product management expertise

  • Experience in leading requirements workshops and working with senior collaborators

  • Clear and engaging communication skills – ability to lead workshops and articulate the commercial value of data and analytics to C-suite level senior partners/clients (internal & external)

  • Experience in the tech or insurance industry

  • Engaging interpersonal skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams

  • Excellent People management skills across a diverse, matrixed organization

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Degree (or equivalent practical experience) in either a technical or business-related field

  • Experience with agile product management tools (Atlassian/JIRA, etc.)

  • Prior experience working with extensive data sets is beneficial.

    How we support our colleagues

In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Plus, our agile, inclusive environment allows you to manage your wellbeing and work/life balance, ensuring you can be your best self at Aon. Furthermore, all colleagues enjoy two “Global Wellbeing Days” each year, encouraging you to take time to focus on yourself. We offer a variety of working style solutions, but we also recognise that flexibility goes beyond just the place of work... and we are all for it. We call this Smart Working!

Our continuous learning culture inspires and equips you to learn, share and grow, helping you achieve your fullest potential. As a result, at Aon, you are more connected, more relevant, and more valued.

Aon values an innovative, diverse workplace where all colleagues feel empowered to be their authentic selves. Aon is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.

Aon provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran, marital, domestic partner status, or other legally protected status.
