About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join our Spa Team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Assist Spa Manager in overseeing the Spa and Fitness Operation.

  • Responsible for training the Spa and Fitness team by making sure all staff have knowledge of the product on the floor. Coordinating with vendors/designers who can provide training and sales support.

  • Responsible for tracking Spa and Fitness quality scores Medallia, LQA and Trip Advisor. Ability to create and implement an action plan if necessary.

  • Monitoring Spa GSE, Spa attendants and Fitness team performance. Supervising, discipline, and guide spa and fitness employees as needed.

  • Conduct monthly performance review to GSE and fitness staff based on KPIs established at the beginning of the year. Keep a track of their performance and conduct performance evaluation and share feedback as necessary.

  • Monitor all guest areas of Spa and Gym and ensure they are clean. Ensure inventories are in order and well stocked.

  • Develop, abide by, and enforce LQA and Jumeirah standard operating procedures.

  • Assist in the development of weekly schedules for the Spa GSE, Spa Attendants and Fitness team. Monitor attendance and absence records daily.

  • Participate in staff meetings within Spa, and across BAA and IBAA departments to keep employees updated.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a 5-star hotel

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor to provide exceptional customer service to guests.

  • Familiarity with spa services, treatments, and amenities to effectively assist guests and provide information as needed.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

  • Strong leadership skills
