About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager – Housekeeping to join team at Jumeirah Al Qasr . The Assistant Manager will assist the Housekeeping Manager in smooth and efficient operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring maximum Guest satisfaction and adhering to the standards required by the hotel and assist in the planning process. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Supervises and coordinates housekeeping attendants to ensure services are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards, including punctual reporting and correct uniform wear.

  • Interacts with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and supplies.

  • Maintains detailed records of all deep cleaning activities and follows up on out-of-order rooms to ensure timely resolution.

  • Conducts regular inspections of corridors, public areas, back of the house, and rooms to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

  • Handles guest complaints according to customer feedback SOPs and reports all issues to the Director Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager.

  • Assists in taking and maintaining various inventories, ensuring the availability of resources to carry out all tasks.

  • Ensures housekeeping staff receive necessary training, conduct evaluations, and develop training plans to enhance performance and motivation.

  • Ensures all colleagues understand and adhere to the property’s policies on fire, hygiene, health, and safety, and promotes an awareness of customer requirements.

  • Assists with administrative tasks, ensuring clear and concise records are maintained and that changes are documented appropriately.

  • Mediate with Front Office, Engineering, and F&B departments to ensure rooms are ready for guests, maintenance is performed as scheduled, and special needs are met.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • UAE National as per government requirements.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a luxury international hotel

  • A Bachelor degree in Hospitality or another related field.

  • Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs

  • Strong customer service orientation.
