About the Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitness Instructor for our luxury J-Club in Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Job Purpose: To work and be visible on the Club gym floor, interacting with members, fixing their posture, supervise H&S of guests and members. Provide initial assessment to hotel guests and members, by assessing them and developing a fitness, health or diet programme to help them improve their health and fitness and obtain their objectives, providing a luxury experience all the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence on the gym floor.

  • Adhere to and prioritize all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.

  • Provide new members induction guidance through Gym induction sessions, as required by individuals using the facility upon joining.

  • Provide the client with general dietary advice to help them make informed meal and meal timing decisions. Recommend dietary supplements that can help the client meet their specific fitness goals.

  • Structure an exercise regime according to the client’s level and specific goals (weight loss, lean muscle gain, endurance, muscular strength, etc.) to ensure the client has the proper workout in place to reach these objectives.

  • Motivate exercisers to return to personal training sessions at a regular schedule so physical progress can continue steadily.

  • Promote and encourage personal training sessions, internal programs, and services to club members to contribute to the Fitness Centre’s sales targets, interacting daily basis on the gym floor with members & guests during working hours, including addressing feedback on posture during exercise and so on, promoting great practises.

  • Provide daily complimentary stretching and recovery support, to all hotel guests and J Club members.

  • Update the Gymnasium Opening / Closing Checklist on a daily basis

  • Ensure Outdoor Gym is also supervised, and guests and J club members are training safe, and feedback is addresses when needed.

  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of fitness training experience; preferably with an international hospitality company.

  • Internationally recognized Personal Training Certification

  • Full status Personal Trainer on REPS

  • Ability to act as a role model to clients through own athletic body shape / aspirational

  • Excellent instruction/communication and training skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Fitness and exercise prescription

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

  • Knowledge of nutrition and healthy diet.
