DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Classification: Product Management - Product Management
As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Individual Retirement Strategies Product Management team, reporting to the Vice President, Product Management. You will play an important role in the portfolio management of our business, including (but not limited to) engagement in product-level rate setting processes, partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate and make decisions based on business metrics, and monitoring of the competitive landscape to influence strategy.
The current Employee Work Arrangement for this opening is Hybrid or Remote. The employee will work 1-2 days a week at a Prudential location in Newark, NJ, Dresher, PA, or Shelton, CT. If you are not near these locations, we are open to remote hire. Employee will be required to attend or go into the office for any mandatory onsite/offsite meetings/trainings. Employee Work Arrangement is the businesses decision and can be adjusted or changed for business reasons at any time.
What You Can Expect: * Monitor and report on emerging sales trends across the Individual Annuities portfolio. * Maintain awareness of competitor rate actions and relative positioning of products. * Establish and manage relationships with the Business Intelligence teams to drive continuous improvement on the portfolio of Product Management dashboards. * Partner with Competitive Intelligence to understand product positioning and remain aware of industry trends across all distribution channels (i.e., Bank, Wire, Independent, etc.). * Partner with Pricing to develop pricing assumptions, profitability levers, and ensure alignment with corporate expectations and business strategy. * Support the development of materials for senior audiences to communicate results and garner approval for proposed rate actions. * Collaborate with key stakeholders to support and articulate the rate changes for both internal and external audiences. * Establish relationships and build credibility across the business by effectively communicating rate updates and positioning to all levels of the organization.
What You'll Need: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience * 5+ years of experience in annuities, insurance, or retirement solutions * Strong financial and business acumen * Strong analytical skills, preferably with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to partner with a wide variety of other functions and levels, including Sales, Operations, IT, Control functions, Investment Management, Marketing, and Actuarial functions * Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $125,000.00 to $186,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
