HERE WE GROW CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER LLC Early Childhood Support Teacher in DRAPER, Utah

We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic, full or part-time Support Teachers. This important position is vital to our success; our Support Teachers help us fill in all the gaps! You would have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of multiple classrooms, get to know the children in those age groups and work with many of your teammates. This position presents many opportunities for growth within our center and is perfect for high-schoolers -- we happily work around school, home and extracurriculars!

 

Our Support Teacher's Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Support teachers in various classrooms: change diapers (18+ years only); help maintain classroom management, daily schedule, and cleanliness; assist during meal and nap times; keep developmental milestone records and other state-required paperwork, cover rooms during lunch and other times when necessary; provide a nurturing environment; interact with children, and help provide solutions to problems.
  • Work with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
  • Comply with all state rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Here We Grow.

  • Possesses a desire to make an impact in the lives of others.
  • Has a professional, positive attitude, is reliable, and is on time.
  • Ability to be flexible and remember individual classroom routines.
  • Has a loving and nurturing demeanor with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and establish a positive, supportive atmosphere with management, children, parents, and staff.
  • Has, or is willing to acquire a Food Handler's permit, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
  • Willing to attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Willing to complete local, state, and national professional training hours.
  • Completes a Utah Background Check.
  • Can reasonably physically support and supervise children within their care.
