Our Flight Paramedic is responsible for the safety of patients prior to and during transport to medical care facilities. This includes provision of basic as well as advanced life support and critical care measures required to stabilize the critically ill or injured patient. This position requires proficiency in critical care and knowledge of the interventions necessary for patient management in the aircraft/ambulance and during transport/flight. The Flight Paramedic must also be familiar with aircraft operating procedures and safety practices. The ability to establish positive interpersonal and professional relationships is essential.

  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in a busy 911 system and/or critical care setting

  • Current driver’s license

  • Maintains current licensure or certification in at least one state (and any applicable states)

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications - BCLS, ACLS, PALS

  • Nationally Registered Paramedic certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC)

  • Previous air medical transport experience (fligt) / critical care transport experience (CCT)

  • EVOC or CEVO (if not, will be provided prior to driving a MTV vehicle)

  • Associates Degree / Bachelors Degree

Additional Qualifications

  • Must obtain specialty certification (FP-C or CCT = CCP-C) within two years of hire date

  • Must obtain Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course certification (TPATC) within one year of hire date

  • Successfully complete Neonatal Resuscitation Provider during orientation

Working Conditions and Physical Environment

  • Hourly: days, weekends, evenings available with both 12-hour and 24-hour shifts

  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

  • Must be able to provider medical care within the confines of a helicopter

Allowable or Equivalent External Facing Titles:

Flight Paramedic; CCT Paramedic
