Role: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Field Based)

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Remote - Must be based in the Southeast/West of the UK

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 17:00pm, and Friday 08:00am to 12:30pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time,

How will you make a difference?

Are you a Quality Inspector or Technician looking to advance your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer! As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our suppliers' products. You will work with a diverse range of suppliers, assess their performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. If you have experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, and a passion for enhancing quality standards, we want to hear from you.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Develop and implement a supplier audit system and schedules.

  • Evaluate and assess the existing supply base.

  • Approve and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality standards.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and address issues, considering time, process, materials, and cost.

  • Play an active role in resolving manufacturing and quality-related issues with suppliers and sub-contractors.

  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify the root causes of quality issues.

  • Attend reviews related to quality concerns and implement necessary corrective actions.

  • Measure and track supplier performance and initiate improvement plans.

  • Compile essential supplier documentation for final customer FAIs.

Are you an individual with the following?

  • Happy to be field based, traveling to suppliers, using your vehicle car.

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician role.

  • Proven track record in managing and improving supplier relationships.

  • Familiarity with industry and quality improvement tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
