Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to team up with us and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students in Dolton, Illinois. In this position, you will play a crucial part in supporting around twenty students in 3rd-5th grade who face social-emotional and behavioral challenges. The Social Worker will collaborate with one other Social Worker within the building and will be given a shared office space for delivering student services.     Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.

  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.

  • Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).

  • Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.

  • Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed

  • Facilitate IEP meetings

  • Develop and track interventions in order to understand IEP effectiveness. 

  • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

  • License eligible in the State of Illinois

  • Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
