GE Healthcare Junior Field Service Engineer in Diegem, Belgium
Job Description Summary
This role offers a 24-month program with elements of training and working experience. From day one onwards, you will be active in the field and receive on-the-job training from an experienced Field Service Engineer. During this period of time you will also receive modality-specific training sessions where you learn how to service the equipment. Then gradually from preventive maintenance, you will be assigned to assist in installations, troubleshooting and repairs. By the end of the program you will be fully trained and certified, ready to work independently as a Field Service Engineer. The focus in this role will be on Mammography.

Key Responsibilities:
Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
Completing Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions.
Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated.
Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
May include training of clinical staff on designated equipment.
Required Qualifications :
Educational background in Electrotechnics, (Bio)Mechanics or similar;
Some experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment;
Fluent Dutch and good English language skills, French is an advantage;
Valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications :
Some experience with troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns;
Ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
