Abbott Group Marketing Manager TAVI and Cardiac Surgery in Diegem, Belgium

For our Structural Heart Division, we are recruiting a Group Marketing Manager TAVI and Cardiac Surgery EMEA to be based in our EMEA Headquarters in Diegem, Belgium.

This position is managing a team of 2 marketers and an analyst in the TAVI and Cardiac Surgery business. He/She is responsible for serving as a key contributor of the overall commercialization effort for assigned TAVI and Cardiac Surgery Products such as the TAVI product line, Tissue and Mechanical Heart Valves and implantable rings; providing guidance and support on related product development activities (defining requirements), market development activities, and collaboration with EMEA/ Local sales/marketing teams.

Role and Responsibilities

· Develops analysis around the competitive environment and clearly defines product positioning, key issues, strategies, and target audiences for assigned product(s)/product lines

· Collaborates with marketing colleagues on integrated marketing business plan deliverables for assigned programs

· Partners with marketing colleagues to shape customer requirements for related products

· Serves as contributor of physician product planning advisory board for assigned product(s)/product lines

· Works with marketing communications to support development of launch materials, product literature, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages

· Develops product marketing bulletins on new and current products. Provides communication to sales team on market released products.

· Conducts product overviews for physician and sales reps.

· Presents product and marketing plans to internal management, including input for regular LBE cycles

· Drives market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of tools to raise awareness of the benefits of assigned product(s)/product lines

· Builds strong relationships with global marketing teams and local / geographical teams

· Works with market research to collect all limited market release survey data and shares results regularly with management.

· Builds strong relationships with leading KOL’s around EMEA

Your Profiles:

· Master’s degree; MBA preferred

· Minimum of 7 years sales and marketing experience, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry

· Experience working with complex product portfolios in the medical device industry.

· Experience with strategic product planning and commercial execution.

· Developed leadership skills/experience, including the ability to map task interdependencies, prioritize such tasks, and develop, monitor and live within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones.

· Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred

· Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

· Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

· Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

· Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

· Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

· Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

· Ability to travel approximately 50%, including internationally.
