Manufacturing Technology Specialist II, Warehouse (Travel/Remote)
The Manufacturing Technology Specialist II learns the design and delivery of a wide variety of technical and team initiatives to address skills and development for employees within Niagara. This role will be focused on Warehouse Operations and training Supervisors and above on technical skills, KPIs and Warehouse operations.
Essential Functions
Training Delivery
Deliver training to participants to Warehouse Supervisors & above in an instructor led setting as well as a hands on setting
Conduct pre/post training assessments
Conduct site assessments when not conducting trainings
Responsible for Warehouse Management System (WMS) training
Build a positive work environment.
Instructional Design
Manage the development of instructor-led courses and ongoing support materials
Ensure training materials are in line with overall training strategy and approach
Works with the Content Coordinator to create assigned end user training documentation and ongoing support material, according to defined standards
Manage the Warehouse Excellence Trainee training development resources
Transfer knowledge to the site supervisors & above for inclusion in training documentation
Coach and counsel the site supervisors & above in the development of course materials
Coordinate and facilitate train-the-trainee workshops during new plant start-ups or pre-existing facilities
Conduct internal reviews of course materials with the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee
Provides a final technical review of all eLearning courseware
Communicate effectively with training stakeholders for any requirements
Supports periodic training needs assessment to ensure training needs are being met
Collaborate with other Technical Services groups to write, or work with vendors to develop, written and demonstration-based Skills Assessments to determine baseline knowledge of all Niagara Mfg Technical personnel
Teach equipment-specific root-cause troubleshooting methods
Lead in the curriculum design for training programs, activities including instructor led, online, and alternative. This person will assist in the responsibilities of the team for developing and writing content, both traditional and e-learning training and materials
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
2 Years – Experience combined in managing a Warehouse Management System
2 Years – Experience in warehouse or logistics field
0 Years – Experience managing people/projects
*experience may include a combination of work experience and education
*Willing to travel a minimal of 80%
Preferred Qualifications:
4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
4 Years – Experience working in Position
2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
*experience may include a combination of work experience and education

Education
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree in related field pertaining to manufacturing.
Preferred:
Master's Degree in business, education or related field.
