Financial Accounting and Reporting * Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements (10-Q, 10-K) and other SEC filings. * Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements. * Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support accurate and timely reporting. Internal Controls and Compliance * Maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring SOX compliance. * Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Audits and Technical Accounting * Coordinate annual audits with external auditors, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. * Conduct technical accounting research and implement new accounting guidance. * Serve as a key liaison with banks, financial institutions, and investors. Leadership and Team Management * Lead the accounting team, including hiring, training, evaluation, and professional development. * Provide guidance to finance and cross-functional teams on accounting-related matters. Support for FP&A and Tax Teams * Collaborate with the FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and budget vs. actual analysis. * Provide accurate and complete financial data to the tax team to ensure compliance and efficiency. General Accounting Operations * Manage core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), treasury, vendor funding i.e. MDF, Co-Op collection and fixed assets management. * Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Special Projects * Lead initiatives such as financial system implementations and process improvements. * Take on additional duties as assigned by the CFO. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred). * 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. * Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance. * Proven track record of managing audits and implementing accounting policies. * Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. * Proficiency in financial systems and tools; ERP experience preferred. * Experienced in E-commerce or retail line of business. * Experience working with multiple subsidiaries and outsourced accounting support.
