The Technical Product Manager owns the success of technology tools by setting the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for all phases of their lifecycle. They combine competitive market research with technology goals to illustrate a product vision. They deliver the best user experience to internal users by actively surveying user needs and translating requirements into a feature roadmap. For each iteration of a product release, they define the hypotheses and key performance indicators to measure product success and ensure delivery of value.

About the Role

  • Develop, maintain and iteratively improve the product vision and roadmap, ensuring that solutions achieve desired outcomes

  • Evangelize a common understanding of the product vision and roadmap

  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders and leadership in defining the product's strategy

  • Maintain a healthy feature backlog to support a continuous flow of value

  • Collaborate on new features, epics or programs ensuring that acceptance criteria are met prior to deployment

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technology requests and technical investment decisions into work items

  • Integrate usability research, product data analysis and technical stakeholder ideas into requirements

  • Actively monitor feature progress, risks and scope to anticipate and mitigate issues

  • Understand and anticipate user needs and wants through market trends, user research and product data evaluation

  • Collect user feedback using wireframes, high-fidelities and proof-of-concept models

  • Enable an intuitive user experience through functional requirements (FRs) and non-functional requirements (NFRs)

  • Build and maintain relationships with technology stakeholders and leadership

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate the scope of work

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to inform priority of technical debt, technical investment work and technology requests

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience or equivalent competency in technical product management or other role that defines technical requirements

  • 2 years of experience or equivalent competency programming in an object-oriented or functional programming language

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent competency in computer science, information technology or related field

  • Experience developing work items for technical teams, such as architecture or engineering teams

  • Experience crafting user interactions for technical users

  • Experience documenting technical user interactions, processes or procedures

  • Experience concisely communicating product and vision

  • Experience advocating on behalf of products, using deliberate, accurate and persuasive language

  • Experience documenting technical user interactions, processes or procedures

  • Experience proactively collecting user feedback

  • Experience managing and measuring product success

  • Knowledge of software systems, platforms and infrastructures

  • Familiarity with current and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate-tier certification in AWS (Solutions Architect), GCP (Cloud Engineer) or Microsoft Azure (Azure Developer Associate)

  • Experience with financial institutions, the mortgage industry or the fintech industry

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, UI/UX, vendor management, client support, finance and marketing

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates Only.The salary range for this position is ninety-three thousand five hundred dollars to two hundred nine thousand five hundred dollars. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
