Amazon Principal Business Development Manager - Tech, Vehicle Sales in Detroit, Michigan

Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Business Development Manager- Tech (Pr. BDM-T) to recruit and engage automotive OEMs for strategic partnerships.

The Pr. BDM-T will advocate internally and externally on behalf of Amazon. The Pr. BDM-T should have proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving growth. The Pr. BDM-T must be an effective driver and communicator in working with other key stakeholders, including top automotive OEMs, account managers, product teams, and executive leadership, both internally and externally.

You will influence and build relationships with top automotive OEMs to drive revenue and increase inventory coverage. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple teams.

Using your deep knowledge of the Automotive landscape, and your solution-oriented mindset, you will develop opportunities for Amazon. You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions. You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively cross-functional teams. You're particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a track record of successful negotiation.

This role may require business travel to OEM and dealer locations

Key job responsibilities

1) Foster strong relationships with senior leaders in automotive OEMs, leveraging other areas of business within Amazon

2) Identify and prioritize opportunities for business growth with these clients

3) Manage client expectations and advocate internally for their needs

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
