Henry Ford Health System Physician - General Pediatrics in Detroit, Michigan

Henry Ford St. John Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to join the team. The St. John Children’s Hospital is located on the Henry Ford St. John Hospital and Medical Center Campus in Detroit, MI.

This is an employed position consisting of 90 % dedicated clinical time, 10 % teachin g time with Pediatric Residents and Medical Students.

The well-established Pediatric out-patient clinic is part of the excellent Pediatric teaching program . Our in-patient services include a busy Pediatric U nit, Pediatric ER, Pediatric Intensive Unit, and a Level 3 NICU on campus.

There are 500 clinic visits per week. Types of outpatient visits include full scope Pediatric medicine and office procedures. The clinic hours are Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5 :00p m.

Inpatient census average is 10 patients/day and rounding is shared on a rotational basis with a full team of employed Pediatricians .

Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program.

  • Board eligible in Pediatric Medicine required . Board certified in Pediatric Medicine with experience and passion for teaching preferred.

  • Experience in research and an area of interest within Pediatric Medicine that may enhance the educational experience of the residents is highly desirable .
