Pharmacy Operations Manager McLaren Karmanos Cancer Center Detroit, Michigan
As a full time, exempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Operations Manager,youwill oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. Additionally, there will be occasional travel between Karmanos Cancer Center Downtown Detroit to Farmington Hills Campus and other McLaren facilities.
Schedule:This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. This position will also work on-call rotating every three (3) weeks.
About the Facility: Karmanos Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the city and one of just 47 centers of its kind in the United States with one of the nation's largest and most acclaimed Bone Marrow Transplant programs. Because comprehensive cancer centersare at the forefront of cancer research, patients can access treatments exclusive to Karmanos as well as clinical trials, cancer prevention programs and multidisciplinary teams of cancer specialists; an approach you cannot find at a community hospital.CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-dayoperations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS. About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Required Qualifications:
BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Michigan 3+ years pharmacy experience required, preferably in a healthcare facility with previous supervisory/leadership experience
PGY1 Residency is preferred
340B/Sentry software experience preferred
Controlled substance compliance experience preferred
Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations
