TEKsystems Payroll Clerk in Detroit, Michigan
TEKsystems is looking to hire a Payroll Clerk to work on-site at a well-known Banking/Housing Authority. If you have 2-3+ years of Payroll experience and are looking to continue your career at a great company - apply today!
Pay: $18.00-$21.00/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm
In-office position: office is located in downtown Detroit, MI
MUST be located in the Detroit, MI area
Job Details:
Process and transmit biweekly payroll, including verifying changes and review for errors (utilizing Paychex system)
Approve and release time in automated system
Ensure deductions are accurate (garnishments, benefits, 401k, etc.)
Audit biweekly payroll and prepare the payroll journal
Interact with all departments to ensure accurate payroll information is received in a timely manner.
In-charge of running open-enrollment process during that period
Processes special payrolls including the annual bonus and year-end adjustment payrolls
Distribute and/or mail live checks
Maintain confidential payroll records
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of payroll experience
Experience with Paychex system is a must
Experience with Open Enrollment is a must
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
