Role and Responsibilities: A Laundry and Linen Supervisor is primarily responsible for meeting and maintaining guest satisfaction by ensuring guests feel they have arrived at their home away from home from the moment they see and feel the comforts provided in their guestroom, providing a feeling of well-being and revitalization.  Provide leadership and empowering the Laundry TEAM to strive for excellence and repeat business. Ensure exceptional customer service by setting a positive example and providing our guests with the best service, courtesy, and care by responding promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints to ensure overall satisfaction. Ensure guest satisfaction includes the prompt return of lost or items accidentally left behind in our hotels; therefore, overseeing the hotel's Lost & Found procedures is critical. Assist with the review and sharing of guest comments and scorecard results with team members to celebrate achievements. Fosters strong working relationships within Housekeeping and, equally important, with other departments by communicating effectively, providing clear direction, assigning and instructing team members in work details. Assists with leading and managing all aspects and activities of Laundry and conducts daily and monthly meetings as assigned. Your passion for service will be reflected by the way you assist with inspecting the linens' cleanliness, using an effective inspection program, removal, and replacement, and ensuring the application of company policy, procedures, and hotel service standards in coordination with the HSK management team. Train new team members: training includes detailed instruction on the use of chemicals for different surfaces and procedures and how to report repairs. Assist with meeting Team Member satisfaction by ensuring accurate payroll records. Daily review of time and attendance records is essential. Ensure proper cleanliness, use, repair of all laundry equipment and closet/storage areas, and assist with controlling inventory of linens, chemicals, and other supplies to ensure reorders are done promptly. Coordinate with HSK to ensure room linen is delivered to ascertain the team has the tools necessary to perform their duties daily. Checks assigned are at the close of the day, providing all equipment and supplies and stored and locked securely. Maintain workplace safety and corporate compliance by taking proactive measures, enforcing Hotel safety standards. Improves service performance by observing Laundry team members and making recommendations to the HSK management team of any non-adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures. Provide instruction and guidance for guest's and team member's safety in fire or other emergencies. Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to Safety/Security Department. Other duties as assigned.
