Essential Functions (Job Duties):

The Department of Neurology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine is seeking applicants for faculty position in Movement Disorder. The Movement Disorder Program in the Department has a strong tradition of clinical excellence and research and is housed at the Detroit Medical Center, the largest hospital system in Detroit Metro. WSU Neurology is ranked consistently best in the region and is ranked in the Top 27 of the Neurology/Neurosurgery programs by the US News and World Report. The Movement Disorder program is actively involved in neuroimaging and biomarker research funded by Sastry Foundation endowment. The Movement Disorder division is expanding due to increased demand and is an excellent career opportunities for a young or seasoned faulty. The new faculty will:

Participate in clinical services for patients with movement disorders.

Participate in Movement Disorder research opportunities including clinical trials and clinical/imaging research.

Participate in educational programs of the Department of Neurology for medical students, residents and fellows.

Participate in conferences and seminars of the Department of Neurology.

Unique Duties:

Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. degree required from an accredited medical school.

Valid Michigan medical license.

Board certified/board eligible in Neurology by ABPN.

Completion of fellowship in Movement Disorders or equivalent experience Rank commensurate with credentials.
