OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL: Support local safety functions and assist units in interpreting, developing, implementing, enforcing, and monitoring safety management programs as mandated by Federal, State, local and ARC regulations, standards, and policies. Serve as professional safety resource to meet critical safety needs while supporting the ARC mission and lowering the cost of risk to the organization. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:

Key Responsibilities Provide guidance on regulatory compliance mandates under such governmental agencies, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local fire protection agencies. May assist in the development of related training programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of safety procedures and adequacy of compliance with Federal, State, and local laws. Analyze, report, and collect safety performance, property and casualty, or other loss data. Participate in audits, corrective action plan development and training as needed. May assist in developing corrective action plans to correct all hazards in a timely manner. May conduct routine audits and assessments for occupational safety, health and environmental management systems including but not limited to OSHA programs, DOT programs, waste management programs, chemical hygiene plans, exposure control plans, PPE management programs and fleet safety programs. Unit or function-specific responsibilities within the scope of the job.

Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift hours (10-15% travel)

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Skills & Abilities: Professional Certifications/Licens
