Holbrook Auto Repair is currently seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be committed to providing the highest quality of diagnosis, repair, and service to satisfy the customer.  This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Performs vehicle repairs (Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance).
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while using power tools safely and effectively.
  • Align wheels and perform other adjustments as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, repair needs, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • State of Michigan Mechanic Certification or ASE Certifications (Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance, Light Vehicle/Diesel)- Not all required
  • Valid Driver's License

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as an automotive technician.
  • Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair, with the ability to work on various vehicle types.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and technical documents related to automotive systems
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to use various power tools safely
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent work ethic and craftsmanship paired with care and caution as to not damage any valuable parts.
  • Focus and commitment to your assigned workload, with determination to produce your finest work every day.
  • Ability to lift from 10-50lbs

Pay: $30.00 per billable hour

Your compensation is based on a flat rate times the number of booked hours

 

Expected hours: 45 hours per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday -- 9-hour shifts
  • Saturday- 6-hour shift available

     

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Detroit, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
