Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible for all lead generation activities and goals with a strategic focus on engaging in efforts designed to build relationships with prospective in-state and out-of-state students. The role is responsible for identifying and building relationships with key external and internal stakeholders. This position may require travel responsibilities (30%), to help foster engagement in various external recruitment activities. This role reports to a Director of Admissions.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for recruitment and yield support efforts. Including recruitment events that may occur in-state or out-of-state. This position will be given the opportunity to facilitate and nurture strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders that impacts strong new enrollment outcomes.
This position will facilitate relationships and communications directly with the alumni and advancement offices to support recruitment and yield initiatives.
Support the onboarding process for admitted and prospective students by helping by working with the admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to answer questions relating to admission/matriculation, liaise with medical education departments to ensure cohort information is distributed, facilitate onboarding procedures and events with enrollment management including email reminders/communications (ex: matriculation checklist).
Provide communication from and to pathway programs at WSUSOM, including but not limited to the early assurance programs, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery program, and combined dual degree programs.
Manages the recruitment/retention and budget activities and represents the office of admissions on the school of medicine admission scholarship subcommittee.
Coordinate with the admissions program project assist II and the communications manager with the management of recruitment lists and building of recruitment lists in the admissions application database.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:High school completion (or GED)
Experience: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Student recruitment, relationship building, sales, and/or marketing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general office procedures.
Knowledge of admission rules and general policy.
Knowledge of and ability to operate personal computers with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) software.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of students to executives, internally and externally.
Ability to review, enter, and use data to ensure acceptable service levels are met.
Ability to coordinate and implement assignments in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals of varied ages, abilities/disabilities, racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to review, analyze, formulate, and follow through with assignments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and high-volume department involving contact with current students, prospective students, parents, and other constituents regarding the admissions process.

Ability to represents the university in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to conduct admissions activities with the highest integrity and business ethics.
Assist with in-person interview day’s as a representative at the registration table, session leader, door greeter, and/or parking attendant OR Assist with virtual interview day’s as a registration coordinator, proctor, and trouble-shooting.
