Job Title: Quality Technician

Salary: starting salary £26,784 progressing through to end on once role triggers are met £28,153

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

Contract: Full time & permanent

The Opportunity:

As a Quality Technician within Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), you will support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility.

What You Will Do:

As Quality Technician, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct audits on parts, partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.

  • Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.

  • Clearly communicate defects to other areas and support area personnel as issues arise.

  • Participate in defect investigations and projects as required.

  • Support and train new team members.

The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined.

What you can demonstrate:

  • Experience of the Built in Quality process, reporting defects and root cause analysis.

  • Possess a good understanding of assembly operations practices and process

  • As a team member the ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed goals

  • Self-motivated, with the flexibility to deal with independent and team behaviours

  • Highly organised and a keen attention to detail

  • Must be flexible and support extra hours if required

  • Attention to detail with excellent communication skills

  • Auditing experience

  • A desire to help improve the build quality of our machines

What you may have:

  • Previous PDI experience.
