Honeywell Sr. Technical Sales Manager – Renewable Fuels in Des Plaines, Illinois

We have an opportunity for a Sr. Technical Sales Manager that will play a crucial role in supporting the Renewable Fuels Business within the Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) Global Business Enterprise (GBE). Your role involves managing a technical sales team to drive effective technical sales and providing innovative solutions to our customers’ renewable fuels challenges You will work closely with the STS GBE team to develop and execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and drive business growth in the renewable fuels market.

You will report directly to our Senior Business Leader for Renewable Fuels and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of Technical Sales Engineers in the Renewable Fuels Business within the STS GBE

  • Work in close coordination with the Senior Business Leaders (SBLs), Offering Managers (OMs), Project Development

  • Managers (PDMs) and counterparts in other functions across UOP to ensure that the business objectives are met

  • Manage Project Intakes to evaluate business need and resource constraints for project opportunities

  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers

  • Evaluate project opportunities

  • Right-size needed response for those opportunities

  • Staff those opportunities to be pursued

  • Coach on targeted product value propositions

  • Drive continuous improvement in UOP’s technical proposals, ensuring strong, quantified Value Propositions

  • Develop and champion best-in-class technology sales training

  • Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in refining, petrochemicals, or sustainable solutions
