Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for working on the production line and partnering with production leads to assist with the full inspection process. They will perform product inspections for incoming, in-process, first piece, and final inspections. The candidate will measure packaging materials, record any issues or machine disruptions, and maintain a log from the 1st shift team to ensure smooth communication and handover. They will use gauges and micrometers to ensure compliance and measure particulates as small as .8 sq mm. The role requires the ability to carry up to 40 lbs and stand during the shift on the production line.
Responsibilities
Work on the production line and partner with production leads for the full inspection process.
Perform product inspections for incoming, in-process, first piece, and final inspections.
Measure packaging materials and record any issues or machine disruptions.
Maintain a log from the 1st shift team to ensure smooth communication and handover.
Use gauges and micrometers to ensure compliance.
Measure particulates as small as .8 sq mm.
Carry up to 40 lbs and stand during the shift on the production line.
Essential Skills
2 years of QC inspection experience in a production environment/line.
2 years of documentation experience.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
1 year of experience with micrometers or calipers.
Ability to read a ruler and tape measure with 1/16th and 1/32 of an inch graduation.
Must read and write English - bilingual is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2 years of experience in flexible packaging or medical device background.
Experience using gauges or calibration (promotion may involve learning to calibrate equipment).
Bilingual.
Tyvek material inspection experience.

Work Environment
The role is in a clean environment with occasional gowning up required in certain areas that have sterile packaging lines. The candidate will be the only employee on the Maintenance team, reporting to the Quality Manager and working with the Production/Press Supervisor. Machines are old and may not have manuals, requiring collaboration with the maintenance technician when specifications are incorrect.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
