In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the production of quality products through production, operations, and manufacturing. This is a machine maintenance position with hands-on responsibility. We have MULTIPLE openings on all shifts around the Chicagoland area. Responsibilities
Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery.
Role and Responsibilities
Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
Identifies the cause of unexpected breakdown of machine.
Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School degree, some college preferred
2+ years' work experience in manufacturing setting
Database management
MS Office proficiency, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Working knowledge of plant equipment and parts a plus
The essential functions of this role include:
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
