Robert Half SOX Analyst in Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a SOX Analyst in the banking industry, based in Des Moines, Iowa, 50309-2808, United States. Our organization is in phase 2 of SOX audits, specifically business process related, not IT SOX. The role is within our Internal Audit team and will involve the Operating Effectiveness testing of SOX Controls. Although banking industry experience would be beneficial, it is not a necessity.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting business process related SOX audits

• Being a part of the Internal Audit team

• Performing Operating Effectiveness testing of SOX Controls

• Meeting deadlines for completion of SOX audits

• Utilizing skills related to SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley

• Working towards meeting an upcoming deadline

• Collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency of audits

• Maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations

• Analyzing and resolving any issues encountered during audits

• Communicating audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

• Proven experience in the banking industry as a SOX Analyst or in a similar role.

• In-depth understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and guidelines.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in using finance-related software and systems.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credentials would be advantageous.

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

• Ability to interpret and apply banking regulations and procedures accurately.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
