Director, Program Management Dedicated Cloud - Oracle Cloud

Oracle Cloud is seeking a leader for the Dedicated Cloud business. This role has a global responsibility over technical and business programs for Dedicated Region and Alloy. A successful leader will have experience in working with geographically separated teams and travel is sometimes required. A successful candidate will have a strong passion and extensive background in cloud solutions and program management. Experience in managing cross functional teams in complex technology integration projects is required. Equally important is a proven track record of establishing positive relationships with customers, external and third parties, internal product teams, support organization, and executive stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As the Director for the PSE team, you will be responsible for growing and managing the team and involved in all aspects of a customer’s experience on Oracle and their cloud adoption lifecycle.

  • Design and drive programs that support Dedicated Region and Oracle Alloy

  • Design and drive mechanisms of scale to provide consistent experiences across the product lifecycle

  • Foster a customer-focused data-driven team culture

  • Engaging in strategic conversations with customers' leadership

  • Keep your technical skills honed and develop new ones

  • Be the voice of customers to Oracle’s various engineering teams

  • Managing the coverage and hiring aspects of the PSE team

  • Staffing, On-Boarding, and Skilling up new TPMs hires

  • Coaching & Mentoring TPMs in their day-to-day engagement approach

Manage, Develop, and lead an effective team to deliver timely, accurate and professional technical assistance to Oracle’s cloud customers. Work with engineering, support, PM teams, and exec management to improve the customer experience. Contribute to a positive team environment and proactively help team members to meet and exceed team goals, quality standards, and product improvement. Review customer feedback on products, investigate possible issues, and take a lead to resolve them in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

An innovative leader who can look beyond the technology stack and passionate about customer success.

  • 8+ years relevant work experience in program and project management

  • 5+ years of experience in management of technical, customer facing team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in managing distributed teams

  • Prior experience in managing complex cloud transformations

  • Prior experience in driving technical requirements for migrating or transforming customer solutions to the cloud

  • Familiarity with common enterprise solutions from Oracle, Microsoft, SAP or VMware

  • Experience with other cloud platform including AWS, Azure, Google Compute Platform & VMware is a plus

  • Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

US: Hiring Range: from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
