TEKsystems PC Support Technician in Des Moines, Iowa

Description:

  • Looking for someone with an understanding of organization, communication, and customer service.

  • This role will maintain high levels of customer service. Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate are needed.

  • The role involves taking questions from business partners, viewing client data, helping with IT asset management systems, organizing and reviewing hardware inventories, and looking up warranty statuses.

  • Other responsibilities include reviewing hardware requests, submitting security requests for website logins, and working with business units to assist advisors with questions and needs. All tasks will involve internal information.

  • Soft skills are important for this role. Call center or customer service experience is a plus.

  • Preferably, candidates should have a 4-year degree or be working toward/close to receiving a degree.

  • Call volumes will vary, ranging from 15-30 calls per day, with some days being busier than others.

In this role, the candidate will work closely with advisors and requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Maintaining high levels of customer service by answering business partners’ calls, emails, and requests is crucial. While technical aptitude is beneficial, the focus is on organization, communication, and customer service.

    Must Haves:

  • Relevant internship or professional experience in IT customer service, IT support, or IT troubleshooting roles.

  • Basic planning/organizational, time management, decision-making, and superb written/verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Strong problem-solving and big-picture/conceptual skills.

  • Ability to work with people at all levels and demonstrate the ability to understand and embrace change.
