Job Title: Installation Technician

Job Description

Furniture Installer | Will work in the construction industry, completing furniture installation to specification, and may mount cabinets, cubbies, counters, or bookshelves before business occupancy. As a furniture installer, duties and responsibilities are: • Deliver and assemble furniture to be installed on a commercial jobsite • Ability to follow blueprints and instructions to determine how the furniture should be assembled and where it should be placed • Load and unload the truck • Install furniture according to blueprints or job tickets • Mount cabinets and bookshelves • Prep and clean up the job site • Assemble furniture as needed • Maintain a safe and clean workspace • Use hand and power tools daily • Responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation, of modular office furniture systems. • Review floor plans and exercise space planning. • Problem solving/troubleshooting/decision making. • Inspect furniture for proper operability per manufacturer’s guidelines. • Organization and compliance to company policies, procedures, and protocols.

Hard Skills

  • 1 year of hand and power tools experience

  • Ability to read a tape measure

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

7am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, weekends will be on a volunteer basis and will be planned 30 days ahead of time. Customer-focused and willing to do what it takes to complete the project on budget, on time, and with no hassle or disruption.
