Reporting to the Director of Hotel Commercial and Global Strategy this is a highly visible & integral role within Global Supplier Partnerships, which generates revenue through negotiating hotel supplier agreements which deliver value to the customer and revenue to Amex GBT. This is a multi-layered end-to-end supplier management role passionate about getting results through successful supplier negotiations, contract execution, business development and other key supplier partnership initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Effective Supplier Negotiations: negotiate profitable supplier commercial agreements on behalf of the Amex GBT network, bringing value to the customer, supplier, and Amex GBT

  • Drive Increased Revenue: identify, sell, and drive execution of additional supplier revenue opportunities

  • Manage delivery of the supplier value proposition and develop strategies to ensure business development commitments are implemented

  • Manage supplier relationships: develop and cultivate supplier relationships outside of traditional sales channels

  • Track / report portfolio performance and forecast future revenue, in liaison with the Global Revenue Management (GRM) Team

  • Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally with Traveler Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, M&E, Global Business Consulting, and other Global Supplier Partnership teams in order to align strategies, drive engagement, and optimize results.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong analytical approach with broad commercial foresight and thought leadership

  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.

  • Consultative selling & negotiation skills with consistent track record in driving successful negotiations

  • Outcome oriented with consistent track record in driving best in class results

  • A solid understanding and knowledge of the hotel and/or travel supplier industry

  • Intuitive understanding of technology – GDS, Point of Sale tools, online booking tools

  • Consistent track record to handle multiple projects and get results on time and on plan, under a remote management and able to work with a great degree of autonomy

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Strong oral and written communications skills including aptitude for formal presentations.

  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills and attention to detail

  • Availability for domestic and international travel

  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in the US

Location

United States

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
