About these roles:
The Veteran Employment Transition (VET) Program is a nationwide 8-week Spring and Fall internship that converts directly to a full-time opportunity based on performance. We're hiring a class of 75 - 85 interns to begin on September 12, 2022 starting with an intensive training and orientation led by professional instructors and senior Wells Fargo employees. You'll network with your peers and Wells Fargo leaders while developing your skills and knowledge of our financial products and services before joining a team of experienced Wells Fargo employees for on-the-job training and development. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working hard to achieve a goal, learning new things, and improving yourself, this program might be a good fit for you. In addition, successful candidates are team-players who work well in a collaborative environment and have strong situational analysis skills. Program Expectations:
Must be able to start September 12th, 2022 and attend full duration of 8-week internship program
Must be off active duty no later than September 11th, 2022. (Only exceptions: terminal leave and/or traditional Guard or Reserve status, these are eligible)

Required Qualifications:
2+ years of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Service in any branch of the United States military
Able to work on the first day of the program, September 11, 2022

The Finance Group has the following opportunities:
Finance Analyst: (Available locations: Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN).
Participate in functions related to financial research and reporting
Forecast analysis of key metrics, as well as other financial consulting related to business performance, operating and strategic reviews
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of responsibilities
Research moderate to complex financial data in support of management decision-making for a business
Create and communicate various activities such as product pricing, product, and portfolio performance
Exercise independent judgment to guide key metrics forecasting, closing data and validation
Present recommendations for resolving all aspects of delivering key forecasting projections as well as financial reporting to support monthly and quarterly forecasting
Develop expertise on reporting that meets brand standards and internal control standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Desired Qualifications:

Financial Accountant : (Available locations: Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN).
Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting related matters
Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements and regulatory reports
Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems
Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
Provide functional advice and training to individuals
Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise

Consult with the line of business and enterprise functions on financial reporting or information technology governance, and controls and oversight matters
Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Provide oversight for testing and monitoring involving moderate to complex subject matter or control areas
Communicate and provide consultation regularly with stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Implement, operate, and report results of certain elements of the company's policy, governance and oversight framework
Support implementation of moderate to complex projects and initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Meet the company's regulatory, Security and Exchange Commission and other external financial reporting requirements
Support external financial reporting activities with a thorough understanding of reporting requirements, end to end reporting processes, and data needed to deliver accurate and complete financial reporting
Support implementation of moderate to complex projects and initiatives
Provide accounting technical regulatory capital and regulatory reporting guidance
Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Communicate and provide consultation with experienced stakeholders throughout the enterprise

Plan and set policies and guidelines for managing global treasury activities including funding, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities
Monitor and evaluate global market conditions, asset liability and liquidity risk management
Provide overall advisory on treasury finance risk
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies, accounting and consulting firms
Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
