MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IIEducation Level High SchoolJob Category BankingDescriptionJob Summary:Performs various functions related to general and complex financial transactions and credit union business operations. Contributes to the success of the branch and credit union by meeting or exceeding established individual and group goals, educating members on credit union products and services, resolving account issues and representing the credit union within the communities we serve.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Adheres to the FHCU Service Standards as establishedConducts basic and complex transactions in a professional, courteous manner. Processes such items as, but not limited to: deposits, transfers, withdrawals, payments, wire and Western Union transfer paperwork, stop payments, pay roll set up, opening/closing accounts, and all other financial and non-financial transactions for members.Engages members in dialogue to obtain information regarding their financial needs and recommends the appropriate product or service based on those needs.Meets established individual and group sales goals by using various sales techniques.Responds to member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, and assists members in making the most effective usage of service offerings.Performs duties with limited supervision and resolves issues within the scope of authority assigned.Executes loan applications and disbursements.Makes outbound calls to members regarding outstanding loan approvals, various credit union products and services, and their experience with the credit union.Attends offsite events to increase membership within our Select Employer Groups.Participates in available credit union self-development education programs and required compliance courses through self-study, online learning, and the credit union's training department.Represents the credit union at various community events and assists the manager with business development duties when necessary.Represents the credit union at Select Employer Group (SEG) signups onsite as requested.Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.Qualification RequirementsEducational/Training Requirement:High School Diploma or GEDAssociates degree, preferredExperience:Minimum of six months experience working as a MSR I, or related position in a financial institutionPrior sales experience, preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of general banking regulations and credit union policies and proceduresProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and using the webExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work with limited supervision and exercise judgementBasic knowledge of sales techniquesAvailable to travel to other branches and off-site company events when requiredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands of the position require being able to stand for up to eight (8) hours per day, lift items weighing an estimated 5-10lbs or more and perform repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties of the position.
