When every second counts and performance reliability is a must - we are ready and able to serve today, tomorrow and into the future.Job Description The FSO (Field Service Organization) is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of highly technical communications systems at customer locations. The FSO works closely with System Managers, Engineering, Sales, Project Managers, System Technologists, and Service Partners to accomplish the assigned tasks. The team is on call 100% to cover Public Safety Customers in the moments that matter most! Post-sale installation, optimization, maintenance and management of highly technical mission critical communication systems. Focus on maintaining optimal performance levels across an integrated system while taking a pro-active approach to system level alarms/errors. Perform system hardware and software installation and optimization including advanced troubleshooting skills. Manage system availability through routine system maintenance and performance monitoring. Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results. Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system implementation, upgrades or support issues. Team with System Manager, Engineering, Project Management, Sales Personal, System Technologists and our Public Safety Partners to effectively design, implement, optimize and cut-over advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations. Solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations while utilizing equipment commonly used in the optimization and testing of Motorola Two-Way Radios (Communications Systems Analyzers, watt meters, TIMS sets, CPS, RSS, Antenna SystemsAnalyzers (FDRs), ethernet testers, etc.)
Relevant Candidate Experience: VHF, UHF, 700/800 public radio systems 911/ECW/Airbus equipment NG911 infrastructure installation, optimization and maintenance NICE public safety installation, optimization and maintenance Totally familiar with the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques in transport, communications and RF systems. On-call 33% of the time with 25-50% required travel within the Denver Metropolitan area and the T7 region (WY, NV, CO, UT, AZ, NM). Experience with one or more of the following: P25 Systems, NICE public safety loggers, LMR RF systems, wired/wireless communication systems, networking equipment, IT networks. Must have very strong knowledge of wired/wireless communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), must be proficient in co puter network installation, configuration and maintenance, NICE public safety loggers, P25 radio systems, and systems to include cabling, routers, switches, and bridges Perform troubleshooting at sub-system level as a subject matter expert, always striving for optimal systemperformance Strong knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, as well as knowledge of packet switching techniques Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access Self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision Computer use including common applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Experience in the configuration and testing of Motorola two-way radio and subscriber products. Good understanding of Motorola trunking, P25 and SmartZone systems Configuration and testing of channel banks, routers, hubs, and switches Must have good interpersonal skills, as this position requires working closely with internal Motorolans and customers
Candidate Requirements: Associates Degree or EET, Technical Certified, Project Management, IT Certified OR Military Technical Certified CET will be required within 6 months of hiring FCC License and industry certifications are a plus Must have/keep a clean driving record. Able to develop and present technical training. Provides guidance in integrating newtools solutions into the operations of the team. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain background clearance as required by US government customer(s) Must be able to successfully pass and maintain the ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearances as well as have/keep a clean driving record The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
