The Salvation Army Intermountain Division Social Services Administrative Assistant/Receptionist in Denver, Colorado

DescriptionThis position is eligible for, but not limited to, medical, vision,dental, life and disability benefits in addition to varying time offs.Function: Implement and supervise all aspects of office management andsocial services including food pantry, volunteers and receptionist duties.Duties and Responsibilities:General office duties to assist Corps officers to include telephone,calendars, copying, filing, seasonal duties, incoming & outgoingmail, income processing, invoice preparation, assist with thepreparation of flyers, and bulletins.Organizes, coordinates, trains and manages the recruitment of volunteers(Including paperwork, background checks, Sacred Boundaries) forseasonal programs, year-round programs and department needs and events.Maintain all areas of the food room in compliance with Department of Healthand Fire department code. Responsible to ensure readiness for inspectionsduring the year.Coordinate all food donation pickups and maintain records as needed.Provide assistance to clients in the form of food boxes and referrals asneeded.Follow all applicable HIPPA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of allclient related communications.Learn WellSky social service program and complete input for all programs andservices as needed.Work closely and assist as needed with the EOC (Energy Outreach Colorado)utility programCoordinate seasonal (Back to school, Christmas, etc.) signups and intakeAssist in collecting, maintaining and entering monthly statistics for theSocial services programs.Act as Liason with outside organizations for The Salvation Army in any socialservices related capacityAssist with Summer Camp application process and transportation for RockyMountain Youth camps as needed.Attend advisory council meeting - take and file minutes.Attend monthly staff meetings and take minutes as necessary.Actively promote The Salvation Army Corps ministries to social serviceclients.Maintain and obtain supplies for the office and Corps programming asrequested.Maintain and update inventory for all departments annually.Perform janitorial duties for social services areas and for the building asrequested.Qualification and Education Requirements:Education: High school diploma required.
