Who We Are

At Autodesk , we are not just building software; we are laying the digital foundation for the future of construction. Think of us as the tech-savvy foreman on the job site of innovation, delivering tools that make complex construction projects simpler, faster, and smarter. We are all about driving efficiency and productivity, one keystroke at a time. From Design to Preconstruction to ultimately Project Execution and Closeout, our tools streamline every phase of the project lifecycle. And that’s where you come in: helping us shape the strategy that makes project execution more effective, connected, and transformative for our customers.

The Role

Are you the kind of person who thrives on ensuring plans don’t just look good on paper but actually deliver in the field? Do you have a passion for solving real-world execution challenges and a flair for strategy? If you are ready to help construction teams go from "project kickoff" to "project complete" with precision and efficiency, we want you as our Senior Strategy Manager, General Contractors (Project Execution) .

As Senior Strategy Manager, General Contractors ( Project Execution) , you will be the expert voice advocating for general contractors, ensuring our solutions solve their most pressing project execution challenges. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, technology, and construction. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: ensure that Autodesk Construction Cloud sets the gold standard for project execution tools, making construction teams more efficient, collaborative, and successful. To achieve that, you will blend market insights, customer feedback, and industry expertise to define and then drive strategies that position our software as the project execution tool of choice for GCs everywhere. Your role will also focus on evaluating whether we should build solutions internally, partner with other industry players, or acquire existing technologies to achieve our strategic goals.

What You Will Do

As Senior Strategy Manager, General Contractors (Project Execution) , you will be the bridge between big picture strategy and on-the-ground execution. You will dig into the nitty-gritty of how projects are managed and completed, identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, streamline office-to-field communication, and drive innovation. You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and industry experts to identify both product and go-to-market opportunities, solve challenges, and position Autodesk Construction Cloud as the indispensable solution for project execution excellence.

Here’s how you will make an impact:

Market Insight and Analysis

  • Monitor industry trends in project execution, such as advancements in project management, scheduling, cost management, safety compliance, and quality assurance, to uncover new opportunities for innovation and growth.

  • Analyze market dynamics and competitor offerings to identify gaps and areas for differentiation, ensuring our project execution solutions remain industry-leading and customer-focused.

  • Translate market and customer insights into actionable recommendations for product development and go-to-market strategies.

Customer-Centric Advocacy

  • Engage directly with project execution teams at general contractors to gather insights, validate solutions, and foster relationships.

  • Act as the internal voice of project managers, superintendents, and field teams, ensuring their needs shape our product development and strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success) to champion a shared vision for project execution excellence.

Industry Engagement

  • Act as a thought leader for project execution, representing Autodesk at conferences, webinars, and customer meetings.

  • Collaborate with customers and industry experts through product advisory groups and other forums to validate solutions and gather feedback.

  • Build relationships with project execution focused technology start-ups and grow our ecosystem of third-party partners integrating with Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Engineer the Strategy

  • Develop and refine both our project execution vision and go-to-market strategies for general contractors.

  • Build business cases for product and go-to-market expansion through either organic and/or inorganic methods and backed by data and customer feedback.

  • Monitor and measure the success of strategic initiatives through established KPIs, changing course as needed.

Who You Are

You are a strategic thinker who understands the nuances of project execution and knows how to turn insights into impactful action. Comfortable with diving deep into data you never lose sight of the bigger picture. Moreover, you are as comfortable analyzing data in a spreadsheet or creating a presentation as you are walking a job site.

Here's what we are looking for:

  • Experience : 5+ years in construction, strategy, management consulting, or related fields, ideally with a focus on project execution or construction technology. We love MBAs for their ability to structure chaos, but if you’ve earned your stripes in the school of experience, we are all ears.

  • Industry Knowledge : Knowledge of general contractors’ project execution workflows and challenges is a must (bonus points if you have battle scars from wrangling construction projects to the finish line).

  • Data-Driven Storyteller : You know how to turn market data into actionable insights—and actionable insights into inspiring strategies.

  • Customer Obsessed : Skilled at listening to and understanding customer pain points and translating them into impactful solutions.

  • Collaborative Leader : Proven ability to work across teams, influence without authority, and rally diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.

  • Effective Communicator : You can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories for executives, customers, and internal teams.

  • Agile Thinker : Comfortable shifting gears and recalibrating in the face of new information.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a company transforming how the world builds.

  • Work with a team of curious, driven, and hilarious humans who value ideas as much as they value fun.

  • Enjoy competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities.

  • Make a tangible impact on an industry that shapes our cities, communities, and lives.
