EXECUTE QUALITY STRATEGY TO CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE BUSINESS PERFORMANCE & PRODUCT SUPERIORITY
Through strategic and proactive leadership, develop and implement the Quality strategy and plan that drives significant improvements, are aligned with strategic priorities, and deliver a Put Patients First culture
Accountable for predictive and proactive ‘total product lifecycle’ product superiority (reliability, product security, digital quality) and patient safety
DRIVE AND DELIVER HIGHEST QUALITY PERFORMANCE
Depending on the role, accountable for pre-market and/ or post-market quality programs including collaboration with other key Quality teams such as operations, enterprise, and regional quality teams.
Implementing processes and policies in compliance with quality and business strategies to ensure financial and strategic goals are attained
Accountable for compliance of quality system and representation with regulatory agencies. Ensure quality standards align across various standards
BUILD AND MAINTAIN A DIVERSE, HIGH PERFORMANCE CULTURE
Create and foster a diverse, ethical, accountable, and competitive culture
Design organizational structure aligned with required capabilities to deliver quality
Manage talent through learning and development activities for direct and dotted-line Quality reports
CRITICAL LEADERSHIP DIFFERENTIATORS:
Extensive Quality experience across multiple products, disciplines, and geographies
Proven capability to develop strategies and execute on business objectives
Strong business acumen and sound judgment to support and execute strategic plan
Strong interpersonal, planning and continuous improvement skills
Develop employees with skills, knowledge, and capabilities to move the business forward
Express, model, and reinforce integrity, transparency, accountability, ability to self-start, and respect for people

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in quality, engineering or a related function with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of combined experience in quality, engineering or a related function with 10+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Demonstrated experience and competence influencing and managing cross-functionally and across multiple engineering disciplines.
Mastery of managing complex issues , design controls and quality system regulations
Experience in interacting with customers
Experience with or conversant with the CAPA process
Experience in interacting with manufacturing sites
Lifecyle product development and ability to manage quality requirements
Extensive knowledge of hardware and software for medical devices
Medical device or highly regulated industry experience
Technical, data driven mindset
Strategic leadership elements -- ability to influence, collaborate, lead change, differentiate value creation

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$212,800.00 - $319,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
