This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will join in development of one of our space vehicles as a member of the Lunar Transportations Finance team. We are looking for someone with a passion for the pursuit of safe and repeatable spaceflight as you work daily with key partners within the program and finance teams. You'll drive analysis, improvement in execution, and reporting to contribute towards financial and programmatic decisions that directly impact the history of space exploration!
The right candidate will apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
Position is on site in Renton, WA or Littleton, CO - relocation provided if needed!
Responsibilities: Help build and continuously improve financial models in excel based on industry specific operating metrics including scenario and sensitivity analysis based on different factors Perform analysis and reporting to ensure costs are within agreed upon budgets Prepare project budgets and provide analysis Recommend and implement operational improvement measures and identify key financial as well as non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks Lead cost reduction efforts Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviews Support termination liability analysis Cost/price analysis for supplier proposals Drive change analysis Quantitative and statistical analysis methods of cost Build financial visibility tools Performs risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions.
