Federal Reserve System Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician in Denver, Colorado

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch has an excellent career opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Building Engineer to

perform facilities-related functions including, but not limited to, repairs and maintenance on various systems and or building construction

tasks.

Starting Salary Range : $69,000-$93,000

Key Activities:

• Performs routine repairs to commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems (water, refrigeration, steam, Johnson Controls BMS and HVAC). Includes inspecting, analyzing, repairing, maintaining, and installing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

• Monitoring the operations of automated Building Management Systems for irregularities in temperature or humidity levels to maintain proper environmental conditions throughout the facility and making necessary adjustments or repairs to systems and related equipment.

• Assists senior technicians in all phases of various facilities-related assignments including renovation, welding, and maintenance projects.

• Assists in inspecting and/or monitoring automated energy management and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility are at appropriate levels. Experience with JCI BMS is preferred.

• Will receive work orders and requests and determine requirements, schedule work and identify repair parts and other materials required to complete assignments.

• Door hardware reviewing, ordering and installing and overheard door maintenance. Door access controls, cameras, LAN cabining, fiber, and carpentry.

• Completes miscellaneous ad-hoc tasks, as assigned.

• Installs and modifies alarms, trend configurations and performs a high-level data analytics and alarm reports function.

• Maintains recovery plan and preparedness in the event of a system outage.

• Interrupts control drawings, plans and specifications to test, program and troubleshoot the BMS.

• Ability to read, understand and provide redline feedback of engineered MEP drawings.

• Vendor/contract management.

• Rotating on call.

• Able to work overtime as necessary

Qualifications:

• Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.

• High school education or GED.

• Senior understanding of businesses process and subject matter.

• EPA certification

• Completion of Johnson Controls Institute courses

• Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction.

• Serves as a resource for less experienced staff. May train staff.
