Salary For Announcement The Hourly Range for this temporary position is $19.00-$22.00 per hour. Up to a one-year contract, working a max of 19 hours a week. This position is a Temporary position that is not benefits-eligible.
Position Summary
The Scene Shop Carpenter is responsible for construction of scenic elements as identified by the Scene Shop Manager and Theatre Technical Director. The primary responsibility is the construction of scenery, but the position may be required to work in additional areas such as scenic painting, scenic soft goods construction and properties or other duties as needed. The Carpenter may need to supervise student workers at various times.

- Scenic Carpentry with both wood and metal fabrication.
- Scenic painting.
- Student worker supervision.
- Soft Goods Construction.
- Properties Construction.
- Tool Repair and Maintenance.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Qualifications - BA/BFA in Technical Theatre or related field. - 1+year of professional experience. - Wood and metals construction experience. - Experience working with diverse populations.
