Project Description
Support the reliability engineering team at Cherokee Station.
Work as a reliability engineering intern doing tasks that support such as learning powerplant fundamentals, red-lining engineering drawings, analyzing root cause failures, planning, and executing projects.
The individual will get hand on experience by working alongside other engineers and craft personnel.
Get hands on experience on monitoring system in developing a robust reliability program.
Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.
This will be a yearlong opportunity (start date of January 2025) with the potential to extend into the summer. The candidate should be able to work part-time during the school year. If the intern works during the summer, their hours should be full-time.
Minimum Requirements
Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, studying areas such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
In person work, may occasionally travel to other sites in Denver metro area.
Mechanical, electrical or controls engineering major.
Collaboration with different departments.
Project management skillset.
Preferred Requirements
Thermodynamics course.
Power systems course.
Familiarity with mechanical components.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.70 to $30.10 per hour
This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
