Amazon Partner Program Lead, Aerospace and Satellite Partners in Denver, Colorado

World Wide Public Sector is looking for a Vertical Partner Program Manager to manage work streams within our fast growing Aerospace and Satellite (A&S) Partners team.

You will join a dedicated team of Partner professionals who work with consultants, integrators and technology companies who serve space and satellite organizations to realize their mission delivery through the Cloud. This person will be responsible for facilitating requirements and documentation between executive leadership and all internal teams within A&S, and looking outwards to AWS business operations and support functions. This role will own business operations and sales support for key software partner co-sell programs working in the A&S industry vertical, like AWS Marketplace and ISV Accelerate.

The successful candidate will draw upon extensive information technology-centric project management experience, critical thinking, and analytic problem-solving skills coupled with business development and executive communication skills within the partner and software solution community. Proficiency building and analyzing SalesForce.com reports and dashboards is critical to this role. Experience with Tableau would be desirable.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will be tasked with managing one or more partner-focused programs and projects to support the organization's strategic growth, as well as creating and managing long term goals.

  • Align program priorities and resources to the needs of the A&S partner strategic direction.

  • Focus on internal and external stakeholders.

  • Meet regularly with Amazon internal partner teams to develop effective methods for assuring timely delivery of customer commitments.

  • Meet regularly with executive level stakeholders, partners, and customers to solicit and aggregate customer requests for strategic collaboration, prioritize and triage to ensure that the team is focusing on the ‘right’ opportunities.

  • Support Partner Team and Business Operations in planning, resourcing, territory management, forecasting, and follow-up on customer commitments.

  • Develop and maintain high level work plans, risk management plans and schedules.

  • Develop and execute effective methods of communication among AWS and customer stakeholders.

  • Lead operational and strategic discussions with partner and customer stakeholders through formal program performance requirements gathering, planning, and reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management producing project documentation, schedules, briefings and deliverables.

  • Experience providing support to senior executives.

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up and managing a sales pipeline

  • Understanding of the Aerospace and Satellite market in the United States and globally

  • Understanding of the value of software partners within the AWS Partner Network, and how they co-sell with AWS.

  • Understand key ISV co-sell programs like AWS Marketplace and ISV Accelerate

  • Understands and can articulate the value proposition of the public cloud

  • Experience planning and organizing meetings, events, activities, and calendars.

  • AWS Experience and Certifications.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
